We decided to shoot our editorial at Villa Daniela Grossi because it has preserved all the charm and character of a historic residence with its antique furniture, frescoed walls and large Italian garden overlooking the splendid panorama of the surrounding countryside. The Villa is located in Camigliano, a small country village close to Lucca.
It was the perfect day, with so many roses of different colors – fragrant lemon trees, a turquoise swimming pool and a garden with a valley view, what eels you can look for! The light was golden and warm.
The intimate ceremony took place in a cozy chapel, where the gorgeous wedding gown stood out on the ancient terracotta bricks. We designed a simple and elegant “mise en place” that was set up under the trees that made the perfect frame for this sophisticated event. As everything else was so bright, it was important that we bring a sense of grace through the linens, place settings and furniture. The centerpiece was minimal as the lush roses surrounding the area were enough to create a magical atmosphere.
Deciding on our color palette was dictated by the blush tones found naturally in the villa’s walls. So, we decided for a colorful centerpiece of flowers to balance the pale color of the walls, creating the perfect contrast to make it both elegant and romantic. Every small detail was taken care of and the Italian garden was a special setting for the pictures of this young couple.
